Mandated reporting for child and elder abuse is a serious issue. Join us Saturday November 5th at 10:30 AM as we equip church staff with answers to questions like these:
- Who is a mandated reporter?
- What is the law?
- How do I recognize abuse?
- What must be reported?
- How do I report abuse?
This seminar is open to anyone in the community who would like to learn more about mandated reporting. We especially encourage those who are paid staff members of churches and schools who need training or a refresher.

Come join us for our first Total Wellness hike at the beautiful Portuguese Bend Reserve on the Palos Verdes Peninsula - everyone is welcome! We will plan on stepping out at 8:00 AM for a moderate 5.1 mile hike. Please plan to wear comfortable hiking shoes/boots, bring water and get ready to experience breath taking beauty!
This is a beautiful 399 acre park on Palos Verdes Peninsula with an elaborate network of trails covering beautiful ocean facing hillsides, canyons, and ridges
We will start from the park boundary at the end of Crenshaw Boulevard. To get to the trailhead: From Los Angeles take the 405 or 110 Freeway south to the 405/110 interchange near Carson. Continue south on the 110 Freeway for 4 miles to the exit for Pacific Coast Highway (CA 1). Head west on CA 1 toward Harbor City. Drive 3 miles and turn left onto Crenshaw Boulevard. Drive 3.9 miles to the trailhead at the end of Crenshaw Boulevard and park along the side of the road. The park entrance (Burma Road) is straight ahead at the end of Crenshaw Boulevard.
